Who we are

We are a group of passionate, professional teachers who are eager to practice with you.

After living and teaching in NYC 12 years and owning a yoga studio in Midtown Manhattan Charlie Burns fell in love and moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico and started finding a group of fellow teachers who want to practice moving smartly and peacefully (as we can).

Charlie Burns is a private yoga teacher with over twelve years of experience teaching throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. During that time she has accumulated more than 10,000 hours of both private and group instruction, working with a remarkably diverse range of students. Her clients have included athletes, professional ballerinas, children, pregnant women, people with disabilities, and endurance athletes preparing for ultra-marathons. This breadth of experience has shaped a teaching style that is highly adaptable, attentive, and focused on meeting each person exactly where they are.

Charlie’s specialty is mindful mobility work that integrates strength, stability, and flexibility with a strong emphasis on core engagement. Rather than approaching yoga as a rigid sequence of poses, her sessions focus on intelligent movement patterns that help the body feel more capable, balanced, and resilient. Clients often find that they gain both strength and mobility at the same time, while also developing a clearer awareness of how their bodies move.

One of the groups Charlie most enjoys working with is people who claim they “don’t like working out.” Through thoughtful pacing, humor, and creative sequencing, she has a knack for making challenging sessions feel approachable and engaging. Many clients discover that they’ve completed a surprisingly demanding workout while feeling relaxed and even having fun along the way.

At the heart of Charlie’s work is a genuine love of teaching. After more than a decade in the field, she continues to find deep satisfaction in helping people move better, feel stronger, and build a more positive relationship with their bodies.
